Sparkify on the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5
A rugged Android tablet with NFC built in — a comfortable option for documenting on a bigger screen while keeping the tap-to-read workflow you already use.
If you prefer to document on a tablet rather than a phone, Sparkify now runs on the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 — a rugged Android tablet with NFC built in. Apple's iPads don't include NFC, so the tap-to-read workflow isn't possible on an iPad.
Because Sparkify runs as a native Android app, everything carries over with nothing to set up differently:
- Tap-to-read works the same. Hold the tablet against a compatible PAT or MFT tester — such as the Wiha PAT-One or MFT-One — and the measurement readings flow straight into your test form, exactly as on a phone.
- The full workflow, on a bigger screen. Test forms, visual inspection, photos and your project structure all work as before — now on a larger screen.
You sign in with the same account, and your projects sync across phone, tablet and the web client, so you can move between devices freely.

The tablet currently shows the same interface as the phone. A layout built for the bigger screen is in progress, and we'll keep refining it over the coming releases.
